As a birth doula, I accompany women in labor to help ensure a safe and satisfying experience. My role is to provide emotional and physical support as needed. I am independent and self-employed. As your doula, I am working for YOU, not your caregiver or birth facility.

During your pregnancy, I will meet with you and your partner 1-3 times to become acquainted, discuss your priorities, explore any fears or concerns, and talk about your birth plan. I will also want to know your own ways of coping with pain and fatigue and how you and your partner foresee working together. We will also review your plans for postpartum and basic newborn care. I will be available by phone or text to answer any questions or concerns 24 hours a day from the date of this agreement until birth.

I am on-call and available to come support you from two weeks before your estimated due date until 2 weeks after your estimated due date. Except for extraordinary circumstances, I will remain with you throughout your labor and birth.

I will remain with you for one to two hours, unless you are comfortable and your family is ready for private time together. I can also assist you with breastfeeding, if necessary. I am available for phone contact to answer any questions you may have. I would like to meet one last time within one to two weeks following your birth to see how you are doing, to review the birth, to admire your baby, and to get feedback from you/your partner about my role.
